Other Programs

Lit City Mentoring
Our mentoring program pairs youth with dedicated mentors who guide, inspire, and support them in their academic and personal growth. Together, we create a foundation for lasting success and empowerment. Apply to become a mentor, or for your child to be joined with a community member here:
Freedom Rides
Join us for Freedom Rides—a city tour designed to explore the forgotten and erased Black history of Winston-Salem. Through engaging, on-the-ground experiences, we uncover the powerful stories of resistance, resilience, and triumph that have shaped our community, giving people of WS a deeper understanding of their heritage and inspiring social consciousness

Workshops
Sibling organizations, Lit City and the Drum Majors Alliance, are currently welcoming requests for workshops, trainings, and talks focused on youth development, faith-rooted community organizing and development, justice ministry, local Black history, the legacy of the Black Radical (faith) Tradition, and other related topics. This is an excellent opportunity if you're aiming to activate, educate, or deepen the efforts of your organization, church, community group, or collective in these fields.
All proceeds will support our grassroots work. Lit City was founded in 2011 & Drum Majors Alliance in 2014. Both organizations have wrestled with and practiced the ideas that each of the below offerings cover. Our founding leadership & members have been blessed to not only share our vision & wisdom locally, but nationally.
